“You are my rose bud” says Bob, “the real one”
Of all the girls of San Frediano she is the most faithful during Bob’s playboy reign. She is the most attached to traditional values of family, and she eventually arranges a marriage with another just to have a definitive answer from the Don Juan of San Frediano.
This room is also neoclassical, brightly overlooking the garden facing the Arno. Gina, Bob’s rose bud, has green as its dominant color. Also embellished with a floral fresco it is reminiscent of the very essence of “rose bud,” Gina has more sedated romantic tones of the early twentieth century. Chandeliers made of straw and silk light the room. It’s white and green bed appears to be traditional as it is washed out, reminiscent of wealthier families rooms in the early twentieth century. Green light filters through the bathrooms glass window characterizing the retro green lit enamel mirror at the same time.
